A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon and 42% Merlot, the 2023 Seguin has a deep garnet-purple color. Notes of fresh blackcurrants and Morello cherries shoot from the glass, followed by hints of rose bud tea, wild sage, and underbrush. The medium-bodied palate is fresh and pure, with approachable, grainy tannins and a lively line, finishing with a perfumed lift.

Good balance between intensity of fruit and tannic frame, with fresh acidities that emphasise the austerity at this point, softened up through the mid palate with cocoa bean, liqourice root and sandalwood oak. Pessac Leogonan typicity, flash of heat. Consultants Stéphane Derenoncourt and David Becheler, 25% new oak for ageing.

Inside Bordeaux

Deep garnet-purple colored. Red plums and juicy strawberries with hints of dried herbs and fallen leaves. Light to medium-bodied with a chewy texture and plenty of freshness, finishing with an herbal lift.

The 2022 Seguin, 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, is deep garnet-purple in color. Cedar, dried herbs, and tobacco leaf scents give way to a core of prunes and stewed blackberries. The medium to full-bodied palate is rugged and chewy, with muscular fruit and good length.

This has austerity to the tannins but welcoming aromatcis and depth of fruit through the palate. David Pernet of Sovivins consultant.
