Gylden. Jevn strøm av bittesmå bobler. 

Passe intens nese dominert av hvite frukter. Hint av lychee, kiwi, granny smith eple, aprikos. 

Smakt denne noen ganger siden release ifjor og den er tilgjengelig og bekrefter trenden med lys/hvit frukt som dominerer på dette stadiet. Usikker på hvorvidt druemiks eller fatbruk bidrar mest til det. Balansert er det. Intenst er det også. Munnfølelsen er energisk. Begynnende kompleksitet og et rent autolysepreg. Null sherrytoner men mer karamell, toast og litt kaldt kryddersmør. Herlige saker. Uimotståelig. 170 ed. 2014 base.

Lys gyllen på farge. Flotte små bobler.

Den dufter av brioche, grønt og rødt eple, sitrus, og hint av fersken. Selvom den er ung er det noe voksent over den. 

I munnen er det sitrus og eple. En enorm konsentrasjon og en tilnærmet perfekt balanse i vinen.

Krug 168 Edition 2012 innhøsting. 
Duft av brioche, bakte sitroner, steinfrukt og nøtter. 
Veldig bra konsentrasjon med fine modne aromaer samtidig som det er fersk frukt og en spenstig syre. Konsentrerte og kremede bobler, utrolig lang.
Dette viser at det er lurt å lagre Grand Cuvee noen år. 

Dyp gylden farge. Nydelig mousse. Dufter av smørloff, hasselnøtter, nougat, bakte epler, kruttlapp og lyse blomster. noe nytt kommer hver gang man stikker nesegrevet i glasset. Smaken følger duften, lag på lag på lag. Nydelig integrert syre. herregud så godt dette er.

An icon. A watchtower. A legend. There are many ways to describe the House of Krug, but there is no way around the Mozart of champagnes. 

The House of Krug was surprisingly enough not even French but founded by a German named Johann-Joseph Krug, who founded Krug after 9 years of training with Jacquesson. 

Krug has a style, which is so easily recognizable. The gunpowder in just a single bottle could supply the entire French army in battle, and with its clear notes of hazelnuts and oak barrels, you’d think you’re on a battlefield in the woods. The house has established its name and style many decades ago and cemented it among the brightest stars of Champagne with jewels such as the Clos du Mesnil and Clos d’Ambonnay. 

Grande Cuvée is the entry-level NV from Krug. Baffling how wine of this quality can be entry-level. Some of the explanation is a mix of around 120 wines from up to ten vintages (!) up to 15 years old, no malolactic fermentation and aging of the wine village-specific in small barrels, now add 7 years of aging on the lees. 

Characteristics: 
On the nose, it delivers as promised. Tons of gunpowder, oak barrels, and mixed nuts. This recipe can be replicated, but not with the same intensity, character, quality, and unmatched perseverance. The Krug Signature. 

On the palate, it is smooth and creamy with small but persistent bubbles. For a Krug, this wine is still young, which is clearly revealed by its present acidity and nots of pear and yellow fruits, which is delicately balanced out by some of the age of the blend offering notes of freshly baked sour dough bread. 

The wine’s clear strength is its character, it’s signature. You buy, what you know, and you know, what you buy. I recommend it with food, such as tartare, but it is paired best with its food-equivalent, caviar.

164éme edition: Lemon, nutty, brioche, butter, salt, grapefruit, orange peel, almond, yellow apple, mushroom, caramell, peach, pineapple, raspberry, honey, vanilla and apricot. So fresh and lively acidity, very classic modern version of the Grande Cuveé with the 2008 vintage as the base. High consentration and very intense. long nutty and fresh citrusy finish.

163 éme edition: Stone, nutty, almond, peach, apple, honey, marzipan, lemon, pineapple, salt, butter, orange, raspberry, cream and mushroom. Wonderful complexity, nice balance, powerful and a long nutty finish with ripe stonefruit. Another super wine from Krug.

Jeroboam 161eme. Basevin fra 2005 (68 %) med reservevin fra 14 andre årganger. Gule epler, pærer, kruttlapp, sitrus, croissanter, hasselnøtter, marsipan, kalkmineralitet og hvite blomster. Et nytt inntrykk hver gang man stiller nesen ned i glasset. Frisk og veldig fokusert. God konsentrasjon med flotte utviklede aromaer i midtparti. Bæres fint frem av en kremete og intens mousse av svært høy kvalitet. Full av liv og vitalitet - i alle fall i denne størrelsen. Pen, rik og velbalansert Champagne! Satt som er skudd til Hellstrøms gjestespill i Palmehaven. 

Krug Flower Label fra 04-11

Kaffe, toffee, kanel og nøtter på nesen. Perlende og med strågul farge. Smått kremet med vedvarende finish og mineralsk preg.

155éme edition: Coffee, caramel, forest floor, mushroom, nutty, cherry, yellow apple, ripe lemon, stone, salt, raspberry, marzipan, dried fig, dried apricot and nectarine. Amazing complexity, very nice balanced with the maturity and the lovely still fresh acidity. It developes it to something different between every sip. Very long aftertaste with lots og action! Lovely champagne from Krug.
