Medium lemon in colour.

On the nose delicate but tight aromas of Sicilian lemons, yellow apples, pineapple, double cream and a slight reductive note.

On the palate, dry with high acidity, medium alcohol, full-bodied, medium(+) intensity and long finish. 
Aromas of lemon curd, butter and ripe apples. 

Clearly profited from decanting for 1-2 hours. 
Lovely Rheinhessen Chardonnay but must say I prefered previous vintages. 
Could potentially do with a few years in storage.

Expert

Medium lemon in colour.

Aromas of baked lemons, flint stone, green apples, yellow apples, ripe peaches, grapefruit, popcorn, double cream and toast.

Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol/body, pronounced intensity. Medium(+) finish. 

Has profited from two years or so in storage, but is at its peak. 

Straw yellow. Medium+ acidity. Citrus, apple & high amounts of oak. For me the oak it is a bit too pronounced to be balanced and to be a good match for today’s dish: Langoustine with tarragon butter with lemon-zest & garlic. 
Young & reductive, give it at least 1 hr air.
Will get better with more time in the cellar. 

ABV: 13%, RS: < 3 g/l, TA: 8.5 g/l

Amateur

Sitrus, epler, fat og smør. Godt følge til torsk med Sandefjordsmør.

Amatør

Fyldig, moden frukt og fat. God syre og mineralitet. 

WSET 1

Grønt eple, smør og sitrus på duft. Solid konsentrasjon, krisp, grønne epler, noe eik og veldig god lengde.  

tre og flint, mineralsk utgang, fikk noe ikke sjenerende oksidert/sherry preg etter å vært åpen en stund. 

Det er kraftige fattoner på nesen, under er det lette toner av appelsinblomst, fersken og mineraler. Smaken innleder med grønt eple, sjø, mineraler og sitron. Denne har en heftig syre, tankene går automatisk mot riesling, mellompartiet fremstår ekstremt konsentrert, der man aner uforløst kompleksitet. Ettersmaken er lang til veldig lang der fruktig syre og mineraler danser sammen.
