This stunning Chardonnay from the Sanford & Benedict Vineyard was a room-stopper of a wine when served at a wonderful lunch at Berrys Bros in London to celebrate Inside Burgundy and Inside Bordeaux being handed over to Jasper Morris and myself. At this point the flavours have evolved to brioche, mirabelle and soft white truffle, still with a core of vibrancy. 75% new oak for ageing. Clearly showing why this is considered one of America's iconic vineyards, planted by Richard Sanford and Michael Benedict in 1971, turned into magic by Jim Clendenen.

Inside Bordeaux

Medium lemon. Citrus, vanilla, yellow apple and gun powder. Fresh acidity and medium body. Oak, star fruit, lemon cest and minerals. Crisp and elegant.

WSET 2

Lys gul. Sitrus & fersken, avsluttes med en litt nøttete smørsmak. 

Pinot noiren til ABC er veldig god - denne følger i samme gate 👌🏻

Lys gulgrønn farge. Duft og smak av sitrus, aprikos, appelsinskall og fat. Balansert frisk syrlighet med perfekt balanse mot fruktsødmen. Lang ettersmak

Duft av sitrus, aprikos, appelsinskall og fat. Fyldig, fløyelsmyk smak av sitrus, litt grapefrukt, fat og mineralitet. Frisk syre som er i perfekt balanse med sødmen. Dette er et meget godt kjøp som kan drikkes over de neste 3-4 årene.
